You may donate via credit card, wire, or check. There is no minimum for online donations, however a processing fee of 2.2% + $.30 for each transaction via Mastercard, Visa, and Discover does apply. American Express fees are 3.5% per transaction. For donations via wire transfer, a fee of 0.8% of each transaction, capped at $5, applies. For donations via check, a minimum donation of $1,000 applies.

When funding your account, 2% of each donation will be dedicated to supporting EarthShare’s mission and programming to help everyone take action for a healthy planet. That means that by simply funding your DAF, you are taking a meaningful step toward creating a more just and sustainable future for us all.

Yes. 100% of your donation amount is tax deductible. EarthShare emails a tax receipt when deposits are made into your giving account. You receive a tax receipt when you add the funds to your account, not when you send the funds to selected nonprofit(s).

You can make a transfer from your existing DAF to your EarthShare DAF at any time. This will not be a new tax-deductible donation, as you have already received a tax deduction for your initial DAF donation. You can simply recommend a grant from your current DAF to EarthShare, which is a 501(c)(3) organization.

We encourage our donor-advised account holders to distribute at least 20% of their donation each year, and 100% of their donation within 5 years of receiving a charitable tax receipt from EarthShare.
